Tracking Your Shipment Step by Step

How to follow your shipment from label creation to delivery using the tracking timeline.

Last updated: 2026-03-30

Once you create a shipping label on LegacyLoop, tracking is automatic. You and your buyer can follow every step of the journey. Here is how to use the tracking system.

  1. After you create a label (either by printing it or generating a QR code), the item status changes to "Shipped." A tracking timeline appears on the item page.
  1. The timeline has five steps: Label Created, Picked Up, In Transit, Out for Delivery, and Delivered. The current step is highlighted with a pulsing animation so you can spot it instantly.
  1. You do not need to do anything to update the tracking. LegacyLoop automatically checks for status changes and updates the timeline for you. The carrier provides the updates and we display them in real time.
  1. Both you and the buyer receive notifications when the status changes. Look for the bell icon in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. Click it to see all recent notifications, including shipping updates.
  1. If a shipment seems stuck or has not updated in a while, you can click the tracking number to view the full carrier tracking page directly. Sometimes carriers have a slight delay in updating their systems.
  1. When the carrier confirms delivery, LegacyLoop marks the item as "Completed." The buyer has a 24-hour window to confirm receipt or report any issues. After that window closes, your payout is released.
  1. You can view the complete tracking history for any shipment by visiting the item page. The timeline shows timestamps for each status change, so you have a full record.

What the Statuses Mean:

  • Label Created: Your label has been generated but the carrier has not scanned the package yet.
  • Picked Up: The carrier has received your package and it is in their system.
  • In Transit: The package is moving through the carrier's network toward the destination.
  • Out for Delivery: The package is on the delivery truck and will arrive today.
  • Delivered: The package has been delivered to the buyer's address.

Tip: If you drop off a package at a carrier location and the status does not change to "Picked Up" within 24 hours, contact the carrier with your tracking number. Occasionally a scan gets missed at drop-off.
