Public Sale Pages for Buyers

How to create a public page for your estate sale or garage sale that buyers can browse and share.

Last updated: 2026-03-30

When you make a project public, it gets its own shareable web page where buyers can browse all the items in your sale. This is one of the most powerful features for estate sales and garage sales. Here is how it works.

Making Your Project Public:

  1. Open your project from the Dashboard.
  1. Look for the "Visibility" toggle and switch it to "Public."
  1. A public URL is generated for your project. It looks something like legacyloop.com/store/your-id/project-name.
  1. Share this URL anywhere — social media, email, community boards, flyers, or text messages.

What Buyers See: When someone visits your public sale page, they see:

  • The project name and description
  • All listed items with photos, titles, and prices
  • Search and filter options to find specific items
  • A contact form to ask questions or make offers
  • Your general location (city, not exact address)

Buyers do not need a LegacyLoop account to browse your sale page. They can view items, see prices, and reach out to you directly through the contact form.

Optimizing Your Sale Page:

Write a compelling project description. For estate sales, share a brief story about the person and the types of items being sold. Buyers appreciate context and are more likely to engage when they understand the background.

Use high-quality primary photos. The first photo of each item is what shows in the grid view on the sale page. Make sure it is clear, well-lit, and shows the item at its best.

Keep items priced and in "Listed" status. Only items with a status of Listed, Analyzed, or Ready appear on public pages. Draft items are hidden.

Share strategically. Post your sale page link in local Facebook groups, neighborhood Nextdoor communities, relevant collector forums, and your personal social media. The more eyes on the page, the faster items sell.

Tip: Create your public sale page a few days before you want to start selling and share it as a "preview." Build anticipation by letting people browse before items go live. Then update statuses to Listed on sale day.
