Returns, Refunds, and Buyer Protection

How LegacyLoop handles return requests, the refund process, and protections for both buyers and sellers.

Last updated: 2026-03-30

LegacyLoop has a fair return and refund policy that protects both buyers and sellers. Here is how the process works.

Buyer Protection Window: After an item is marked as delivered, the buyer has 24 hours to inspect the item and report any issues. If the item matches the listing description, no further action is needed and your payout is released.

When a Buyer Can Request a Return:

  • The item is significantly different from the listing description or photos
  • The item is damaged during shipping (not pre-existing damage that was disclosed)
  • The wrong item was shipped
  • The item never arrived (despite tracking showing delivery)

When a Return is NOT Eligible:

  • The buyer simply changed their mind
  • The buyer found it cheaper elsewhere
  • Minor variations in color due to screen differences
  • Normal wear that was accurately described in the listing

The Return Process:

  1. The buyer files a return request through LegacyLoop within the protection window.
  1. LegacyLoop reviews the request and may ask the buyer for photos showing the issue.
  1. If the return is approved, the buyer ships the item back to you using a prepaid return label provided by LegacyLoop.
  1. Once you receive the returned item and confirm it is in the same condition as when you shipped it, the buyer receives a full refund.
  1. If the item was damaged in shipping, LegacyLoop files a carrier insurance claim on your behalf. You are not out of pocket for shipping damage.

Seller Protection: LegacyLoop protects sellers from fraudulent return requests. If a buyer consistently files return requests or the evidence does not support their claim, LegacyLoop's trust team investigates and may deny the request.

For Local Pickup Sales: Returns are handled directly between buyer and seller. LegacyLoop does not mediate local pickup transactions, but we recommend agreeing on a return policy before the sale.

Tip: The best way to avoid returns is accurate listings. Photograph any flaws clearly, describe condition honestly, and set realistic expectations. Honest listings build trust and lead to happy buyers who come back for more.
